  2. It is beautiful! Coincidentally, I just today learned what a kadai is (while browsing through Suvir Saran’s Indian Home Cooking). Are you going to cook in yours or just use it decoratively?

  3. Devi - I couldn’t believe when the seller told me the price.

    Cathy - It looks like the kadai is made of good quality brass. I probably will use this for both cooking and serving food.

  4. I just found your site and I really like it. It’s so unique; maybe you can help me with something I purchased at our local Indian grocery. It’s called “edible gum,” and it came in a little plastic wrapper. The bits inside look like amber. I thought maybe it’s the hardened sap of some kind of tree? I haven’t eaten any yet.
