I just love boiled peanuts, not just in the shell. You can try this with shelled peanuts, with a dollop of salt, in a pressure cooker, without the weight. 10 minutes and its done.
Sooo good!

Hi Indira:

I love peanuts boiled in salt water. It was favorite snack that my mom made. I made them one time using peanuts I bought from Dillons and they didn't taste good at all. I should probably look for them in an Indian store somewhere.

Funny story: - I had found your blog by accident a couple of months ago and really enjoyed reading it. But then silly me, didn't remember the URL. Since that time, I have been trying to find it, I remembered that you were going to India and you said something about Kanceepuram sarees, I searched using those keywords with no luck. Just a little while ago, I was doing dishes and I was cleaning a "kadai" and remembered the blog entry you had written about finding one for 25 cents and BOOM I got on my computer, put in "kadai 25 cents flea market" in google and yours is the first Website that came up :).

Thought I'd share this :P.

Maybe we can start something with our weekend herb/plant/ingredient blogging. It's kind of fun to write about ingredients for a change. By the way, your photos of the deep-fried veggies are amazing. I am trying to send people to see them with a link back from my herb blogging photo.
