  3. Happy diwali to you and your family. Btw, I made the stuffed baingan dish. I wish I had taken your advice about throwing out the ones with black seeds more seriously. But then all my baingans had black seeds and I had already made the stuffing mixture. We landed up savoring the gravy and discarding the baingans. I might try stuffing anahiem peppers with this mix next time around.

  4. Thanks for the Diwali wishes. Wish you the same Indira, a safe, happy, and prosperous deepawali to your family, siblings, dear and near ones.

I am a little perturbed by the news of blasts and the train accident.

    PS: Peda came out marvelous.

  13. Indira: The above link was from my site.. I googled deepavali under images and the photo came out first and it was beautiful.. I am sorry, I didn’t check the copy right. Would you want me to take off the photo?
    Sarah

    Indira replies:
Hi Sarah: Looks like you have replaced it. Please don’t take to the heart of that overzealous commenter harsh words. I know that it’s an innocent mistake and I totally understand. As long as you give “Mahanandi” credit, I don’t have any problems, actually I think it would be a great honor if this photo would accompany such beautifully written Deepavali memoir.
    Subha Deepavali Sarah.
