That looks so yummy. My grandma makes it the same way.
I do the same with addition of tomato while pressure cooking, and add fresh corriander in the end. Tastes great!

					<description>i made this today. Its the most simple yet delicious ( with ghee its yummy )recipe .Its with lot of protien and with the least fat. i liked the idea of roasting the moong dal. It gives it a rich flavour. i made ur spinach dal too.And got to tell u that the taste of spinach dal is getting tastier day by day. I added one green chilli along with the red chilli powder. Taro root fry, spinach dal , moong rasam and rice and pappad are for lunch today..YUMMY !!! all these simple and healthy recipes are rally great for daily meal. Thanx for the recipes indira.

Wow, Priya.. Your lunch sounds wonderful, like a full thali meal. Eventhough I posted spinach dal recipe with red chilli powder(on that day, I didn't have green chillies in stock), I often make it with green chillies only.  Back home, they never use red chilli powder with spinach for dal. Next time try it like that only with green chillies, Priya. I am sure you are going to like it.
