I do have a wooden murukku press with different plates. Not very sure how to use the one with 3 star shaped holes(the top one displayed from your bronze press photo). Does this plate make it easier and faster to squeeze out murukku? Have you used it before?

I have found a Sawa 2000 cookie press at a garage sale this summer, there were no instructions with it. I used it to-day but obviously I missed doing something. Can anyone tell me how to use it?

Thanks

We have an excellent alternative to SAWA. A Murukku Maker/Idiyappma maker. Brand name: "KOMAL". Just died on us. Can anyone tell us where we may be able to buy one. The one we have, we bought at an Indian Grocery Store in NJ. They do not have it now.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
