Celebrating One Year Anniversary on Ugadi

Mahanandi - photo by Vijay Singari
Spectacularly Beautiful Mahanandi, India

The temple which my blog named after is at least 900 years old, and my blog just turned one.

‘Mahanandi’ is my desire to capture the ‘real, everyday kind’ of homemade Indian food in images. Thanks for being so supportive and so generous both with your words and show of affection. Thank you for being part of my beloved ‘Mahanandi’.

Happy Ugadi and Gudi Padwa!

  6. Indira,

Wish you a Happy Ugadi and Gudi Padwa.

Congratulations on your beautiful site. I discovered it about a month back and have been visiting it almost everyday. It is really very professional and the most attractive feature is that you have pictures of the ingredients as well as the appetising end result. You really present everything in such a tasteful and aesthetic way. I am not surprised that you received an award for the site last year.

So far I have tried out at least 5 of your recipes and they turned out fabulously. The oatmeal upma was great and the onion chutney was out of this world. The fenugreek chutney is now a regular feature in our meals, everyone liked it so much.

My next item from your list is the delicious Mango Halwa for tomorrow! And I am waiting for the new tiny potatoes of the season to try out your Dum Aloo!

Do keep up the good work and wish you all the best. I know your site has inspired many like myself into trying out new recipes.

    Anagha

PS. Your Kittaya is so cute. Do post more pictures of him.

Each of your blogs have been real learning experience and has made me try vegetable which I haven’t tried before (especially Ridgegourd and Tindora).
