Hi Indira, just wanted to let you know that I followed your tip today about heating the oven for a few minutes and then keeping the dosa batter inside to rise...in my case I put my pizza dough inside to rise...and oh boy!!!! it almost overflowed within an hour! and my yeast behaved very well today too. Thank you for the wonderful tips you gave us.

Indira replies:
Glad it worked for you Nabeela.
Thanks for helping out at the 'questions' section.

Hi Indira, I think you have changed the way of describing your recipies. It is quite easy for me to write in my cook book. Usually I write the recipes from the blog.It is handy for me when I am cooking instead of looking at the comp now and then. The recipe is very interesting. I have never tried the combo of banana pepper and potato. Will try soon:)

Indira replies:
Just trying out something different from my regular ingredients, preparation style of recipe writing.
What did you think of this style of recipe writing?

Hi Indira,
I never tried "Bananapeppers" with Potatoes.Nice recipe and I think it will be a nice combination with rice also.
Indira ,Iam having a small doubt -when we have to add these grinded powder before adding 2 cups of water or after adding water ?
Thank You.
Vineela

Indira replies:
Really don't make a difference, Vineela. Just for convenience I wrote it like that. You can add the powder before or after adding the water. This is just like our regular pulusu curry preparation.
Banana peppers, though they are called peppers, they are very mild and when roasted and cooked in this way, taste sweet. Try it, Vineela, I am sure you are going to like it. Thanks!

I like this combination. Ive just had banana peppers once. And here i dont find them in stores here. They have only 3 variety of peppers. Will any other pepper taste good for this curry. The idea of grinding Khus Khus in coffegrinder is great, i always find it difficult to grind khus khus. And for the coriander/cinnamon/clove/cumin, will one clove and a tiny bit of cinnamon work ?
And thanx for updating my blog link.

Indira replies:
Hi Priya, round cherry peppers, cubanelle peppers also taste good cooked in this way. They are midly spicy hot but not like chilli pepper hot, and when cooked they will turn into sweet things just like red bell pepper.
This CCCC powder, I prepare it in large amount for a 2 weeks worth and I'll add it to all types of gravy masala curries. It is the garam masala. Make a small batch and keep it in a jar for convenience, Priya. I'll give the measurements here for a small batch - 1/4 cup of coriander seeds, 1 tablespoon of cumin, 6 to 8 pices of cloves and 1 small stick of cinnamon, I usually dry roast them first, once they are cool, I'll grind them to smooth powder. You can add this powder to all types of meat and vegetable curries.
Hope this helps. Have a great weekend. :)

Its like potatoes with red bell pepper...only here it is banana peppers. I love the big anahiem peppers...maybe they'll go well with it too. The gravy combo sounds interesting..although I'm not a big fan of cashewnuts..I do like the taste of poppy seeds in certain curries.
As Madhu said earlier, I learn something new everytime I see a new recipe posted here. I tried your peanut chutney last night and boy oh boy!!!! it was WONDERFUL! Thank you sooo much.
