  1. i really enjoyed ammu patti’s narration of the wedding. i love weddings. i love wedding food. there is something of a bustle and rustle in the air…all those spices and ghee lending a little something special to the senses that is already happy with the smell of jasmine and roses. (and my favourite..its white and thin and long..smells heavenly. but we dont wear it in our hair..it is mostly used for garlands…what is it called again?) i would totally love to be around the catering ‘masters’ who run these wedding feasts gigs. truly impressive.

  4. Congrats on the award, Indira! Richly deserved. You provide such a service to Indian cooks far away from their mothers and grandmothers 🙂 . I come here almost every day, for ideas or just for a fix of home; it’s lovely to read about all these foods I knew as a child. Thank you!

I’ve always admired the understated/restrained style of your blogsite- you have a flair for visual arrangement that shines through in everything you do, not to mention the slew of exquisite dishes that are not only beautiful to look at, but delicious and healthy as well! i’ve never seen oatmeal look that good! 🙂

  20. Indira,

Congratulations for winning the best Indian Food Blog award. I am very happy for you. Though I have not send regular comments about your recipes I love your blog. It is the BEST thing to happen for Food Recipes. I have been a regular visitor since Sept 2005 and I like everything of it.

I am coming with a query. Please reply. I am a member of ammas.com. I give answers in Cooking section. Many times I give the recipes from your web site. (First I give the link and then the recipe). I also sometimes give links from other Food blogs.

I want to know one thing. Can I suggest your Recipe links? I am asking this because March 5th is Event against PLAGIARISM. I love your Food Blog more than any thing else.I don’t want to be on the wrong side.

Previously VK Narayanan of http://mydhaba.blogspot.com/ gave a query about this. This is the link of the query

Please let me know about this problem
    Thanking you

Hi anon: Many of my friends visit Ammas website regularly and you all are providing a great service to lot of people. Thanks for that. About recipes from my website – I would greatly appreciate if you add a link to the recipe instead of cut and paste thing you guys normally do at Ammas.com. I think VKN of My Dhaba was also requesting the same thing. I don’t think that’s asking much.
    Thanks.
