Hi Indira,

I've tried this and its come out v.v.v. well. But I added a little oil as greasing to the plate. Its come out like deep fried ones. One greasing will come for 2 rounds.

Thanks of the excellent recipes.

Hi Indira,

I did not have much sucess with the microwaving. Well , I ended up with a cut on my finger and burnt chips ! :( I know the reason - I don't use the mandoline slicer much and this was my first time .. and this lead to uneven slices and thus burnt chips !

Iam not the giving up type ( I remember the days when I couldn't get sambhar and rasam consistently right ) . I will try this again and also will experiment with the conventional oven. :)

I have a genuine request - Is it possible to give some insights on seasonal cooking in your blog ? Do you only buy from the farmers market ?

This is fascinating Indira.

I've never heard of anyone using a microwave to get potatoes nice and crispy.

I'm looking forward to doing this with a sweet potato!

Hi Nalini, Soumya and Bengali Chick: Thanks and if you try, do let me know how you like these microwave potato chips.

Hi Uma: I added a link to mandoline. Check it out to know different types of mandolines in the market.
I enjoy blogging and glad to hear that you share my enthusiasm also. Thanks Uma!

Hi Sylvia: Sometimes outside links in comments make them go under moderation. This is done automatically by spam karma. Sorry for that.

Hi Anu: I baked these potato chips in not the toaster oven but regular microwave oven.

Karthi: So sorry to hear about the stomach flu. God, they drain energy, don't they? Please take care, drink lot of fluids regularly.
I too wish you were near to me.:)

Hi Laxmi: Yes, Indusladies.com placed an ad on Mahanandi since March 1st. Nice to know that you are a member of that forum. Looks like a good place to hangout, good people there.

ah. OK, I'm very sorry. The page that comes up says that I failed and have X more chances, but the comment actually posts. Erm, hopefully someone will come soon who can clean up the mess I made.
