I was googling for some recipes and came across your site. I felt really sad to hear the news of G. Pullareddy garu. Our deepest heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.

My mom always praises the way he struggled in his early life to reach this position. Whenever we talk about him, she always remembers the days when she used to go to his small shop to buy sweets.
I was student of G. Pullareddy engineering college and still remember the days of his visit to the college. Whenever he comes, there'll be a basket full of sweets and fruits for the students.
A moment I'll never forget is my parent’s happiness when I was awarded gold medal by Sri Pullareddy garu.
He always used to say one thing "Baga chaduvukoni thallidandrulaku manchi peru thevale..".
He is a man of simple living and high thinking. He will always be remembered for both his character and his deeds..and who'll forget buying G. Pullareddy sweets when they visit Andhra.

I am really missed the legend of Indian. I and my wife used to meet frequently when we were in India(Currently in U.S) and before arrival to U.S we met G Pulla Reddy garu and we have taken the sweets through his hand and we took wishes from him before our arrival to U.S and we are not able to digest the news of G Pullareddy who is no more. But cooperate the inevitable. May god bless his soul always and forever and he is my role model.

His sweets were wonderful :), my favorite is the white Gummadikai halwa (i think) that just melts in your mouth

I am happy he passed away peacefully at this old age, and I am sad many will miss his inspiring presence.

My mistake I was supposed to leave this comment on the link to pulla reddy sweets. My father is very fond of him and knew him manage his shop from the early days of his shop and Loved to go back there to see him manage his business professionally. I love to buy all the sweets and would visit often even for samosas. Great tribute to him Indira.

Dear Indira,

Sri Pulla Reddy had indeed left a great legacy behind. Suffice to say Jeedipappu pakam will never be referred to without taking his name.
May his soul rest in peace.

We are huge fans of this sweet - not crazy about the rest of the sweets - no offense but nothing else beats this!

Indira, I am not a big cook but I do make pretty decent sweets and I have seen umpteen blog sites for cooking. On recent times, after following this site for a while, and reading this particular post today, Your site just leapt off a different level. Made me your fan!! :)
I need to say "THANK YOU" from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the good work

I am a very big fan of yours and visit your website once a day. I need your help . I am sorry for posting this mesage here but figured that since so many people see this, I might be able to get some kind of help.
I live in Bellevue, Seattle and wanted to find a travel companion for my Mom who is leaving seattle on th 17th of June. She is travelling thu KLM to Hyderabad, Since this is her first visit we would be very thankful if we could find someone to travel with her. She just needs guidance in locating the gates in the airports thats all! Thanks in advance and am so sorry for posting this here!

Indira replies:
Hi Ramya, did you try Seattleindian.com community forum? Lot of Seattle Indians frequent that site and this type of inquiries are common there. Good luck!
