Hi Indira,
I stumbled upon your website when I was searching the Internet for some Andhra recipes. It is a wonderful website that you have and the photos and the recipes are just too good.
I stay in Bangalore, I love cooking and love trying different dishes from all over the world.
I specially like the Spinach pappu kura that is made the Andhra style. Tried your recipe. It turned out well.
Keep up all the good work. It's a pleasure to see such a beautifully made website.
Take care and have a great summer vacation.

Hi Indira,

I am a long time vistor, but this is the first time I am leaving a comment. I have tried some of your recipes and enjoyed making them. The ones I loved are the aloo dum, palak paneer, nimona, methi matar malai, tomato basmati pulao, and cherry clafouti. The Banana Pepper-Baby Potato Curry and Baingan Chole, I found a wee bit spicier than I like. The Ragi Malt was yet another item that I enjoyed trying out (brought back memories from the past).

My cooking philosophy is similar to yours; so it is no surprise that I enjoy reading all your posts regardless of whether I actually make the dish. I enjoy learning and using ingredients I have not used before like green choleye, yuba, and so on.

Thanks for putting all that time and effort into educating the world, one visistor at a time!

Keep up the great work.

Hi Indira,
I found you while searching for a recipe few months back and ever since I have been hooked to your blog.
Every evening at around 4p.m. when I worry about what to cook for dinner - Mahanadi is the word that pops up in my mind.
Thanks for the lovely recipes.
I have tried out 'Red Rice Veg Pongal', Brinjal in gravy & beetroot curry.
I have also linked you.

Hi Indira,

Have a fun and a restful summer break! Make the most of the summer, and stock up on energy for autumn and winter!

I dropped by to tell you that I will be giving your baking recipes a shot this weekend. I am very wary of using butter and oil, since my family has a history of diabetes and heart trouble, and so does my husbands. But, last week, I found a substitute called Sunsweet Lighter bake, 0 cholesterol and 0 fat, made from apple and dates. Tried some flax seed bread, and it turned out quite good! So, here I go...

Wish me luck!

Hi Vijay & Indira,
In simple words, your site makes me feel at home and makes me feel proud that someone from our place is doing such fabulous work. My husband, vijay's native place is Nandyala, i've visited Nandyala many times, even in this May during my India trip. Their house is in a place called 'kota', my hubby was showing me all the places he used to hang out, and famous eateries around the place. By the way, did u guys come here for education initially?
Indira, ur cooking site is very inspiring to me. Sometimes i get bored of cooking and it feels homely and refreshing to browse ur site. Please add more recipes of everyday cooking. I got an idea the other day while watching foodnetwork television. Most of the programs are italian based and non vegetarian, There is not a single show on "Vegetarian food". when it comes to vegetarian food, i think Indian cuisine has thousands of tasty items. I seriously think that u r one right person to host a show, u've very creative ideas, outspoken, fluency in english. Plz give it a thought, there is a program called ' next food network star' going on where the winner will get a chance to host his own show on food channel.

[...] Mahanandi - Here’s a blog with some great Indian recipies (I love the fact that Aloo Tikki Burgers are listed under “Western Food”). A lot of the recipes here have an honest, homecooking feel about them. The recipe for Chana Masala (despite the use of mass-produced Chana Masala powder) is almost identical to the one I learnt in Delhi. Shame I can’t make decent Puri though. [...]
