I loved your blog , it's got some very sumptuous recipes. i can see you are a very meticulous cook. I liked this Paneer Kadhi recipe and am gonna make it soon. I infact cook something similar (I omit the sonth, turmeric and peas and instead make it with tomato puree/sauce and cream)

This turned out great! Super Quick and Easy to boot.

my $0.02: - The Saunth (ginger) is prob not needed. Kasuri Methi has such a strong flavor it doesnt really matter if you add dried ginger or not.
- for some more flavour I substituted curry leaves for the daal, also added peas to it.

BTW Dont really get why you called it "Achaar paneer".. nothing achaar like about it...It is more like a "Kadhi".
anyways whats in a name, the dish came out great!
Thanks for the recipe.

<i>Indira replies:
It started out like achaar paneer but somehow by the time it reached the dining table turned to Kadhi paneer.
Well, I changed the name. I hope you are happy now.:)

Thank you all for your nice comments on this different kind of recipe.

Musical: I wish I had known about Paneer kadhi title. I think it's more appropriate than the achaar paneer title.:)
I look forward to your paneer pakora recipe.

Pelicano: Traditional Andhra cuisine is completely unaware of paneer and paneer dishes. Paneer is totally a north-Indian thing.
About this recipe, - I got it from Annita's blog. I think it's a promotional recipe by Amul company which sells paneer and other milk products in India.

Archana: I agree that their service is slow, but the food is really great and fresh tasting. We loved the clean presentation and portion sizes.

Hi Indira
The paneer dish(es) look great and enticing! We tried Preets a few weeks ago.. I think I will stick to your recipes though! I seem to have better luck with it than Preets! :) Service was really slow which can be huge NO NO with no-attention span children.
