Hello Indira and faithful readers:-)
I have just discovered this blog and love it!
I am a Slovenian, just moved to Costa Rica and the abundance of fruit has inspired me towards exotic cooking. Plan to make some mango jam today or tomorrow. I am also making a list of utensils I need in my new kitchen.
Yes please, I am also interested in the Ponganalu/Paniyaram/Uniyappam Pan and which to buy - cast iron one or non stick. I also want to use it for poaching eggs etc:-)
The other question, where can I buy online a 'proper' roti yala mold ?
Thank you very much.

I got one of these from Bed bath and beyond for $5 from their clearance shelf. It misses some of the parts(the skewers, the handle cover), but it is still a great deal.

I'm glad I found this page. I've been hauling out my abelskiver pan to make sweet and savory pancake puffs (i.e. with cheese or fruit filling) but somehow never took the short leap to make paniyaram. Can't wait to start trying it out!

Indira,

I have been intrigued by the Lodge series for a while now, but my cousin insists that it takes an inordinately long time to heat and is an inefficient use of energy. I am a bit hesitant. Any thoughts? I have a glass top range.

Thanks :)
