  9. What lovely photographs. Hope you’re enjoying every moment of your celebration. The jalebi look perfect. One q. that might seem obvious, but the golden color would be from saffron or…? 🙂

I think the color is from saffron. They tasted really pure and with no chemical color aftertaste.

  16. Hi Indira,

Thanks for the response. I am honored. I used half cup of rice and half cup of moong dal and cooked this mixture with 2cups of milk and 3 cup of rice. Then later I made syrup with one and quarter cup of gaggery and one cup of water…..
I think my pakam(gaggery syrup) is very little and when I added rice mixture to it is just got thick and it didn’t cook in the pakam….So next time I have to put more water in pakam I think.
Sorry to take the lot space here.
I hope next time it will come out very good. I really really like this sweet. In my home my mother never made it. I had ataste of chakrapongali first time in one of the temple. The taste of the prasadam was very amazing. I never forgot that. Someday I will master this sweet.

    Thank you.
    Laxmi.
