  10. hi indira, thanks for visiting my blog. what a spread for dasara ! we hardly prepare any special food for vijayadashami. i think malayalees are basically a lazy lot, cooking a feast only for onam ! except for the ona sadya, there are hardly any festival foods or naivedyam-s prepared at homes.

  12. Lovely Cartoon! As Manisha said, you should have a weekend cartoon blogging.

Yes, first offer it to the Devi, the to your blog and only then allow yourself to enjoy the delicacy, that is the first rule of a blogger celebration. Warm Navrathri/Dassera greetings to you and Vijay!

  17. Happy Feast Indira,
Eating south indian food from a banana leaf is a totally satisfying experience. Your spread looks quiet healthy. I’m going on a diet so I will be scouting your blogsite for some yummy but lowcal indian food. Nice cartoon 😉

  19. I’m a regular reader of your blog. I was shocked when I did not find your site this morning. After seeing your mail at Inji’s felt a little better.
That’s quite a feast you have cooked there. Looks so yummy.

  20. Thanks very much for the wishes. Hope you all had a auspicious festival day and wonderful weekend.

Also thanks for your kind notes on my doodles.:)

Hi Kribha: Thanks for your concern. High volume traffic crashed the site for few hours. It happens occasionally. Usually we get it back as soon as we notice.

  22. Just popping in here because you are my inspiration and my favourite Indian food blog! I love to come in here and drool over your pictures!

I wanted you to know that I am trying to make it in the world of cookery-writers by self-publishing my Indian Vegetarian cookery book. I’m currently in the process of doing that, and I’m posting about it on my blog. I would be absolutely honoured if you would check it out, and maybe drum up a bit of interest for me if it looks good?! I’d be happy to send you a free copy to review once it’s published! Please email me if you want to know more!
