  2. Wow today early in the morning i found five lil kitties in our washing machine room, they are very small size that of a large potato. And i received this kitty blog is coincidental.

    Hello Sreedevi,
How wonderful! Did you see a mother cat with little kitties? Are you going to keep them?
If you need information about how to take care of little kittens, there are some good cat forums, on Google search.
    All the best.

  9. Indira,

Kittappa looks grand! I swear I see a smile on his face- unless it is the result of some handy Photoshop manipulation you employed to get the effect- but I think he is smiling benignly at all of us -his faithful subjects!

BTW I was wondering if you’ve heard the name “CHEELA” for cats having grown up in Rayalaseema – while growing up that was the name my mom (who grew up in Dharmavaram/Anantapuram) christened EVERY cat we owned. Thanks for these!

    Sincerely
    Usha

    Hello Usha,
    I know a Cheela 🙂 I think it’s a common name/callname for kittens in our area.

  15. What a handsome Kitty. May I know what breed your kitty is? I was thinking of adopting a kitty myself but am a bit nervous especially about where I am going to leave the kitty if I plan to go on vacation to India for a couple of weeks. My friends are not an option since all of them have a weird fear of cats. How do you manage when you go to India?

  16. Hi Indira,
Your Kittaya looks royal indeed.but while I was looking at some of his photos from the past,I noticed he had short hair in a few pictures but long in most of them.
I am curious to know is it because of his shedding?
Your blog is great.I tried making tomato pachadi and it turned out better than the one from the store.

  17. hi.lovely kitty. i have 6 of an exotic african species–not very well known but exotic all the same.how do you manage when you travel out of town? i have’nt had a holiday with my family since last year as my house- help left and i dare’nt leave my cats with the guard ( they will probably be eaten by the time i get back–yes –they eat all kinds of living things in africa—so no stray animals/pets seen anywhere so— our pets are guarded zealously). we have a clinic to board pets but they are very very expensive.
